If you’re a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) entrepreneur making cost decisions by gut feel – or avoiding your numbers altogether – this workshop is for you. You’ll get hands-on guidance to calculate your true Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), including labor, so you can price your products confidently.
This workshop is a great fit if you:
– Are a CPG business with a dialed-in recipe
– Are working off outdated COGS or skipping the calculation altogether
– Want a simple, reliable tool for tracking costs as things change
– Have your paid invoices or receipts accessible and a WiFi-connected laptop
– Are ready to get a little uncomfortable in service of knowing your business better
Come ready to commit – this is a working session:
– One week before: ~1 hour of prework sent to you to complete before the workshop
– Day of: A focused 2-hour guided session — sleeves up, numbers out
– After: ~4 hours of post-work to put everything you learned into practice
What to bring:
– Your laptop with WiFi
– Your completed prework
– A willing to learn attitude!
Your numbers are talking – it’s time to start listening. Register by July 1st to secure your spot!

Agenda
– 9:00am – 12:00pm: Networking
– 9:30am – 10:15am: SBIR 101 with Danielle Alexander, Business Oregon
Presentation: SBIR 101
This month, join us for SBIR 101, a friendly introduction to one of the most powerful (and most misunderstood) funding tools available to innovative small businesses: non-dilutive grant funding through SBIR and STTR, known together as America’s Seed Fund.
We’ll be joined by Danielle Alexander from Business Oregon, who will walk us through:
– What SBIR and STTR are, and how they work
– Which federal agencies offer them and how to find opportunities that fit your business
– What it takes to qualify and be competitive
– Where to go for help, including funding support to cover the cost of applying
Whether you’re working on a research-driven product, a new technology, or you’re just curious whether this kind of funding could be a fit for your business, this session is designed to demystify the process and help you take your next step with confidence.
After the session – the space stays open until noon for networking and community building. Come for the funding info, stay for the connections. We hope to see you there!
