Oregon has a real healthcare innovation story. The founders building tomorrow’s healthcare solutions are choosing where to plant roots and we want them here in Oregon. The harder question is what comes next: whether this state builds the infrastructure to keep that momentum here, or whether the next generation of founders leaves to find it somewhere else.
Hear from the founders and those who support them who are inside that challenge right now join us for an honest conversation about what it actually takes to build a healthcare company in Oregon: what the ecosystem gives you, where it falls short, and what needs to change.
Event includes panel discussion, audience Q&A, and post-panel networking.

Join us at OMEP Headquarters in Portland, Oregon for this one day, hands-on training experience using a simulation to teach a standardized method for improvement.
Attendees will learn the building blocks of improvement that will create a problem solving culture that can tackle any issue. The standard improvement methods are as follows:
1. Understand the direction. Are your improvements in alignment with company goals and challenges? Are they impacting growth, profitability, safety, quality, delivery or development of your employees?
2. Grasping the current condition. How do we know we are working on the real problems at hand?
3. Establish a target condition. After digging into the current condition have we set the right targets that will have an impact on the business?
4. Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA). Once we have our target/goal identified how do we get there?
5. Coach your teams and create an army of problem solvers.
Is your organization developing problem solving capability in your teams? Do you have an improvement method that is repeatable and easy to understand by your employees? This class provides an excellent hands on opportunity for you to learn and practice a proven method for improvement.

When consumer spending slows and competition grows, values-driven brands face a difficult question: how do you stand out without sounding performative?
Join fellow business leaders from across the valley for a candid, in-person peer roundtable on how to market your mission authentically in today’s economy. We’ll explore how brands can communicate what makes them different, build trust with customers, and translate their values into messaging that drives both loyalty and growth — without greenwashing or compromising integrity.
Walk away with practical ideas for sharpening your story, differentiating your brand in a crowded market, and finding marketing approaches you can genuinely stand behind.
What attendees should walk away with:
How to clearly communicate what makes their brand different
Ways to market values authentically (not “purpose-washing”)
Strategies to build trust when consumers are spending more cautiously
Ideas for standing out in a crowded, competitive landscape
Messaging frameworks that align with both mission and revenue goals
Panelists will include leaders from On Purpose Oregon members, including agencies such as Mad Fish Digital and marketers from leading Pacific Northwest CPG and wine brands including A to Z, Adelsheim Vineyard, and more.
Light bites will be provided. Wine will be available for purchase by the glass for those who would like to enjoy it.
