Calling Oregon’s brightest startup companies and entrepreneurs!
The OEN Tom Holce Entrepreneurship Awards program honors the skill and courage that it takes for entrepreneurs to create a business out of an idea.
Nominees are subjected to a rigorous judging process led by a committee of prominent entrepreneurs and business leaders. After an initial review of the nomination materials, the judges will select semifinalists in each category who participate in both off-site and on-site interviews.
Finalists are determined in September, and winners are announced at our annual OEN Tom Holce Entrepreneurship Awards Dinner in October.
Entrepreneurial Achievement Award
Our Entrepreneurial Achievement Award recognizes an entrepreneur or founding team with a record of outstanding achievement in the last 18 months. We’re looking for people or teams who:
- Demonstrate tenacity, passion, and grit
- Recognize, and capitalize on, opportunity
- Positively impact the communities in which they operate
- Actively support our entrepreneurial ecosystem

Game Changer Award
Our Game Changer Award honors both non-profit and for-profit enterprises that offer a novel solution to a social problem. We’re looking for companies that have:
- A clear vision for solving a social problem
- Demonstrated commitment to impact that is central to the mission of the business
- A compelling answer to the question, “Why is your solution better than existing solutions?”
- A viable business model

Company Awards
Our Company Awards recognize businesses in the startup, development, and growth stages that:
- Address compelling market problems
- Deliver consistent growth
- Have scalable business models
- Know their niche and clearly differentiate from their competitors
- Have founders and/or teams who demonstrate tenacity, passion, and vision
