In a surefire sign that the end of the year is approaching, the Portland Business Journal is finalizing its Oregon’s Most-Admired Companies 2016 festivities.
The top 10 companies in each of eight categories (and one sweeping “across all industries” category) will get their due at a Dec. 8 program that’s typically one of the PBJ’s biggest. More than 500 business leaders will attend to collect their honors, trade secrets and learn more about Portland’s burgeoning business climate.
We’re introducing this year’s top 10 honorees, among the categories, in the slideshow accompanying this story. Those categories, along with the across all industries section, are:
- Commercial real estate and development companies
- Financial Services
- Food and beverage producers and agriculture
- Health care
- Professional services
- Product makers and designers (formerly known as traditional manufacturing)
- Technology and technology manufacturing
The final ranking is kept private until the event, where the top 10 in each category will collect their awards. In coming weeks, the Business Journal will make note of many other companies that were “on the cusp” of making the final list.
The honors were chosen by some 500 CEOs who turned in comprehensive surveys to the PBJ.
