OEN NewsSPONSOR SPOTLIGHT | VERTUELAB

We’re pleased to introduce VertueLab as this week’s Sponsor Spotlight.

VertueLab is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Portland, Oregon that serves entrepreneurs by providing holistic business programs and investments. One of VertueLab’s core programs is federal grant assistance.

Every year the federal government awards over $4 billion for research and development to small businesses with innovative technologies. The SBIR/STTR (Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer) programs are a critical source of funding to help move research from the lab into the commercial sector. Twelve government agencies including the Department of Defense, National Institutes of Health, Department of Energy and the National Science Foundation participate in SBIR/STTR to provide non-dilutive capital for high-risk, high-potential technologies.

VertueLab provides assistance services for Northwest small businesses throughout all phases of the complex process to find and successfully compete for this funding. Our services include training, grant writing, commercialization planning and one-on-one detailed consulting and assistance. VertueLab specializes in cleantech and clean energy, but provides free assistance to companies in all industries and technologies in Oregon.
