OEN NewsMeet Justin Mohle, OEN’s newest Marketing & Events Coordinator!

OEN’s team is growing!

One of our newest staff members is Justin Mohle, OEN’s leading Marketing and Events Coordinator. Before graduating with a Bachelor’s in Marketing from Oregon State University, Justin was part of the Oregon State Marketing Club (OSMC). As VP of Membership, he facilitated connections between businesses and marketing students to create promotional material, identify branding identities, and create long-term connections. After graduating, Justin returned to Portland and went on to intern at a local marketing agency to work with brands such as GMC, VoiceBox, and Timberline.

Here’s more from Justin:

What about your new job makes you most excited?

The opportunity to build the OEN community and meet so many amazing people.

Are you a morning or night person?

I’ve always been a night owl, but a good cup of coffee each morning helps me tackle the daily to-do list.

Favorite Portland food cart?

Sheridan’s food cart and their daily food special have never let me down.

What’s the most life-changing book you’ve read in the last three years?

Never Split the Difference by the Christopher Voss and Tahl Raz. This book taught me how to negotiate and understand people’s needs. I use these skills every day in one way or another.

The best TV show of all time?

The first 6 seasons of Game of Thrones. The last 2 weren’t bad either.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

For whatever reason this question is asked a lot in the business world I have had time to think about it. I finally decided to have physical manipulation as a superpower, something like Jean Grey from the X-men. I would use that power to clean up the oceans, travel the world, and make sure I never sit in traffic again.

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?

The Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia.

List 5 goals on your life’s to-do list:

>< Go to the Great Barrier Reef

>< Master Adobe Creative Suite (A never-ending goal)

>< Run another marathon

>< Go to the video gaming conference E3

>< Find the best food cart in Portland

Name one thing you miss about being a kid:

Having boundless energy.

What’s your favorite thing to do on a Sunday afternoon?

Playing video games online with friends across the world.
