OEN NewsMeet Miles Shattuck, OEN’s new Marketing and Communications Manager
The OEN team is growing! This year especially, OEN has gone through a staff reformation which has resulted in new staff members, new board members, and exciting in-office promotions.
Our newest staff member is Miles Shattuck, OEN’s Marketing and Communications Manager. Miles has two Bachelor degrees, in Marketing and Spanish, along with certificates in project management, digital marketing, and Google Analytics. He brings over 10 years of experience in people and project management and a passion for creative marketing to the team at OEN.

What about your new job makes you most excited?
- The Mission. As a native Oregonian, the opportunity to help local entrepreneurs survive and thrive is really appealing to me.
- The Job Fit. I get to leverage my full range of skills and experience for an organization doing good things for people.
- The Creative Environment. Not only am I surrounded by creative professionals and driven entrepreneurs, I’m working with a fun and focused team to produce engaging content and develop creative marketing and communications strategies.
Are you a morning or night person? Yes!
Favorite Portland food cart? The Whole Bowl. I thank my teammate Marissa for turning me on to it my first day on the job.
What’s the most life-changing book you’ve read in the last three years? The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.
Best TV show of all time? The Twilight Zone.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be? To sing like Elvis.
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go? The Maldives.

Name one thing you miss about being a kid: Playing cards with my grandmother.
What’s your favorite thing to do on a Sunday afternoon? Backyard BBQ with friends or thumbing through melodies on the acoustic.
