Just two weeks after CENTRL Office shared the news that it would be opening an outpost in Hood River, the Portland co-working company is planting another new flag, its first outside of Oregon.
CENTRL announced today that it will open a new location in the Little Tokyo neighborhood of Los Angeles this fall. The space will occupy three floors and about 29,000 square feet inside the Brunswig Square office and retail property. That should be enough to accommodate about 350 members.
“CENTRL Office fits the changing needs of business today, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to Brunswig Square,” said Joshua Callahan, senior vice president of West Coast Asset Management at Jamestown, which owns the building, in a release. “Located adjacent to the vibrant Arts District, downtown, and minutes away from major commute routes, Brunswig Square is an ideal place for CENTRL Office to break into the Los Angeles market.”
The new co-working space will take the first, seventh and eight floors of the building. Similar to some of CENTRL’s other locations here in Portland, the new space will have a reception area and meeting rooms on the first floor; the upper floors will be home to an array of workspaces, from private offices to communal areas and conference rooms.
Portland’s CENTRL Office will take three floors in Brunswig Square for its first location outside Oregon. Bicycle Coffee plans to open in the building in July and become the food and drink provider for CENTRL.
Brunswig Square is also home to about 33,000 square feet of street-level retail space.
CENTRL’s latest expansion comes just as the company is about to open its newest Portland location in the new office building at Southwest 12th Avenue and Southwest Morrison Street. That will bring CENTRL up to three locations in Portland, while its Hood River space should be up and running sometime this summer.
