Invent Oregon is the state’s premier college-level prototyping competition, empowering students to transform inventive ideas into tangible solutions for today’s critical challenges. Participants receive mentorship and up to $2,500 in development grants to advance their concepts into working prototypes, culminating in a final competition where they vie for $30,000 in cash prizes. The program emphasizes innovations that positively impact communities and the environment across energy, food, transportation, housing, and health sectors. Managed by the PSU Center for Entrepreneurship and supported by sponsors including the Lemelson Foundation, Business Oregon, and The Oregon Community Foundation, Invent Oregon fosters a statewide culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among college students.
