OEN News2026 Angel Oregon Consumer Packaged Goods Investment Announced
Oregon Entrepreneurs Network (OEN) announced that Manny’s Choice, founded by Cindy Anderson has been selected to receive a $150,000 investment through the 2026 Angel Oregon Consumer Packaged Goods (AOCPG) program.
The investment was announced during the AOCPG Investment Announcement Mixer held Monday evening at McMenamins Mission Theater in Portland, where five finalist companies pitched live to the Angel Oregon investor group and members of Oregon’s entrepreneurial community.
Manny’s Choice, based out of Oregon City, OR, was selected from an impressive group of finalists representing the diversity and innovation of Oregon’s growing consumer packaged goods sector.
The finalists represented a wide range of product categories – from salsa and tortilla chips, baby food, freeze-dried meals, specialty baking ingredients, and innovative brewing equipment – all reflecting the strength and creativity of the state’s growing consumer packaged goods ecosystem.
2026 Angel Oregon CPG Finalists:
- Hot Mama Salsa (Portland) – Founder: Nikki Guerrero
- Luxefly BaseCamp (Eugene) – Founder: Sara Willis
- Manny’s Choice (Oregon City) – Founder: Cindy Anderson, MBA
- Pure Over (Portland) – Co-Founders: Etai Rahmil & Nate Ebrahimoon
- Square Baby (Bend) – Co-Founders: Katie Thomson, MS, RD & Kendall Glynn, MS, CGC
The founders took the stage and pitched live at an event with over 100 attendees, a culmination of 3 months of education sessions, pitch practice coaching, and due diligence cycles.
At the conclusion of the evening, AOCPG angel investors made an investment of $150,000 to one winner, Cindy Anderson, founder of Manny’s Choice during the program’s signature “Big Check Moment.”
“Each year, we see the strength of Oregon’s entrepreneurial community come through in the founders who step forward to build something new,” said Cara Turano. “This year’s AOCPG finalists reflect not only the diversity of consumer products being built across the state, but also the resilience and creativity required to bring those products to market. We’re thrilled to celebrate Cindy’s achievement while recognizing the incredible progress made by all of the companies that participated.”
“This investment is more than funding. It’s validation of the mission behind Manny’s Choice Flour and The Good Gluten®. We are incredibly grateful to OEN and the Angel Oregon CPG Fund for believing in our vision, our products, and the impact we hope to make in the food industry,” said founder Cindy Anderson. “As a founder, it means so much to have the support of regional organizations like OEN that believe in innovation, purpose-driven businesses, and specifically our mission to bring better European flour to products across the country.”
AOCPG is part of OEN’s broader Capital & Funding Literacy programming, designed to prepare early-stage founders in Oregon and Southwest Washington to navigate fundraising, refine their business models, and build investor-ready companies. In a surprise announcement, the OEN angel syndicate made an additional investment of $30,000 in Bend-based Luxefly BaseCamp, a strong signal of support for this emerging dehydrated food company.
“From Portland to Bend to Eugene and beyond, we’re seeing a powerful wave of CPG founders emerging across the region,” said Yalda Moshiri. “This year’s finalists demonstrate the breadth of innovation happening statewide. These founders are building strong brands, creating jobs, and developing the operational and financial foundations needed to scale. Manny’s Choice is a great example of the kind of company that can benefit from both capital and community support as they enter their next phase of growth.”
The Investment Announcement Mixer offers attendees the opportunity to experience Oregon’s startup ecosystem firsthand, connect with founders and investors, and learn more about the role of angel capital in supporting early-stage companies. Attendees may also elect to join the AOCPG investment fund through the close of the event.
