Hiring and managing employees can be fun, intimidating and exciting all at the same time!

This workshop is for entrepreneurs and small businesses thinking about (or just starting to) hire employees. While most small businesses don’t need a lot of fancy management programs, there are certain elements all organizations need, regardless of industry or size, to set expectations for employees, protect yourself and comply with legal regulations.

We’ll discuss the following:

  1. Employees vs. Contractors: Which should you hire? Understand the pros and cons of both options.
  2. The importance of those dry, dull employee handbooks. Know what policies you must have as well as those that will make your life easier as an employer.
  3. Employee forms are risky business. Learn what forms are required, how to complete and store them.
