Event Details

Join us to uncover the importance of identifying clinical need and value early in the innovation process to develop cost-effective biomedical solutions that significantly impact human health.

Ryan Krone, PhD, Innovation and Commercialization Director for OHSU’s Cancer Early Detection and Advanced Research (CEDAR) center, and former Stanford Biodesign Fellow introduces this concept and shares his expertise.

Ryan and co-founder Holly Rockweiler founded Madorra out of the Stanford Biodesign program in 2014. For CEDAR, Ryan facilitates the capture of innovation and surveys external strategic partnerships to uncover commercial opportunities in early cancer detection. Ryan has a PhD from UC Berkeley in theoretical mechanics.

The INVENT Seminar Series features regional experts discussing the basics of biomedical commercialization and entrepreneurship. Sponsored by OHSU’s Surgical Innovation Program and the Oregon Clinical and Translational Research Institute (OCTRI), these seminars are held every other month.
