LinkedIn Local PDX’s next topic will be: “Emotional Intelligence for Entrepreneurs, From the Pacific Islands to the Pacific NW!” presented by Derek Pangelinan.
Join us April 8 at BESThq in Beaverton and meet our growing #LinkedInLocalPDX network, get to know your connections and make some new ones. It is always an informal, pitch-free event that is all about meaningful interactions, and relationship building.
Derek Pangelinan owns Derek Rey Consulting. He teaches leaders to inspire their people to perform and be happy at work; and entrepreneurs to inspire themselves to be their most effective and happy in their work. He has been publicly speaking for more than 25 years and has been a professional workshop facilitator and team-builder for nearly 10 years, though he wrote and facilitated his first team building workshop over 20 years ago. In his non-work time, he is a writer of fiction (unpublished but very enthusiastic) and is the Chair of the Beaverton Downtown Association, an organization that promotes economic development and historical preservation of Old Town Beaverton.

At LinkedIn Local PDX, all are welcome and we encourage diversity of thought. For the planet, we aim to be zero waste (please bring your own bottles and mugs). For people, our events are all inclusive and welcoming. We will serve light refreshments on compostable materials.
Save the date for our next gathering with Carol Parker Walsh, JD, PhD on May 13 at OpenHAUS.
#LinkedInLocal is a movement which brings your online professional community offline to connect in person and get to know ‘the person behind the profile’ – human to human. It started in Australia 20 months ago and Portland 12 months ago, and has inspired hundreds of cities in 80 countries around the world to set up similar events.
