Josh focuses his practice on the representation and counseling of emerging and established companies on a wide variety of intellectual property, corporate and transactional matters. Josh has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at University of Portland and Lewis and Clark Law School since 2008 and currently teaches a course called “Entrepreneurship and the Law.” Prior to joining Alto Law group in early 2007, Josh practiced at Stoel Rives in Portland. Previously, Josh was a pilot for United Airlines and is a retired U.S. Air Force pilot, having served 20 years on active duty and in the reserves.
General Counsel & Sr VP of Business Development, Act-On Software
Bill is General Counsel and Senior Vice President, Business Development at Act-On where he oversees the company’s strategic partnerships and manages its global legal function. Bill brings over 15 years of leadership in the areas of legal, operations, business development, corporate development, technology partnerships and ecosystem relationships. He most recently joined Act-On from Jama Software where he was Vice President, General Counsel and assisted with preparing, executing, and closing the company’s largest venture capital funding round. Prior to that he was Chief Legal Officer of Jive where he led a successful IPO, facilitated international expansion, and grew a very respected legal team.

Chris has dedicated his career to working with emerging growth companies and high-tech startups for more than 20 years. Prior to helping start Zapproved, he managed worldwide corporate communications for Pixelworks, a publicly traded semiconductor company. While there, he was part of Pixelworks’ IPO team in 2000. Chris previously worked at two high-tech public relations firms, one of which he founded grew from six to 26 employees in the first year. He has additional experience working for a major law firm and with the World Bank. In the mid-90s, he helped found the Oregon Venture Investment Conference, the first to connect the Silicon Valley VC community with the state’s entrepreneurs.
CEO & Co-Founder, Garden Bar
Ana is a financial and business manager who is widely recognized for astute business development, logistics expertise, project management, and strategic planning. In 2000, she started her own management consulting practice in San Francisco, that serviced a client base of over 80 companies across the Bay Are for over 10 years. In 2008, Ana moved to Portland and while still servicing clients as a consultant, she also worked as a Controller at Archaeological Investigations Northwest, Inc. In 2011, Ana joined 52 Limited as a Sr. Operations Manager, and later accepted a position as Director of Operations at PACT Creative Staffing. In 2014, Ana co-founded Garden Bar, the first fast casual, salad concept restaurant in the NW.
