Should you sell on Amazon? Fifty-five percent of online shoppers now start their searches there, and the company captures nearly one dollar out of every two dollars that Americans spend online. But merchants struggle to win on pricing and logistics.
At our November PubTalk, hear from consumer product entrepreneurs who have made conscious decisions to sell, or not to sell, on Amazon. Plus, learn why you need an Amazon selling strategy, even if you don’t plan to offer your products there.

Held the second Wednesday of every month, OEN PubTalks are what the name implies — an hour of networking followed by a talk on a specified theme. And yes, they take place at a pub.
Our PubTalks usually kick off with a short pitch from an OEN member, followed by audience Q&A.
As always, the program will be preceded by time for networking and will include free appetizers and pizza. Registration begins at 5:15 p.m. and the panel kicks off at 6 p.m.

Combining these experiences, Corey entrenched himself in all things Amazon to test and prove the core business fundamentals of online marketplace consulting. Before starting Run AMZ he built, managed, and consulted ecommerce businesses of all sizes to tap into online marketplace opportunity. Corey now spends his time spreading the word about marketplace opportunities and guides our day-to-day growth as a business.

Kelly McCollum is co-founder of Yellow Scope, a Portland based company with the mission of closing the gender gap in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Yellow Scope makes high quality science kits for girls. Kelly has an MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Johns Hopkins University and over 20 years of experience in biomedical research, teaching students from middle school science to graduate level biostatistics. She and her business partner, Marcie Colledge, have won numerous awards for their business and products including Toy of the Year Finalists, Parents’ Choice GOLD awards, and Dr. Toy’s 100 Best Toys and 10 Best Educational Toys.

Ken Tomita is a former designer, builder and fabricator of contemporary furniture inspired by traditional Japanese forms and his own life experiences. One hot day in the summer of 2009, Grovemade was born. There was no business plan or much deliberation, only a moment where he and his co-founder Joe Mansfield went all in to “make cool stuff and have fun doing it.” Specializing in the design and construction of high-end wood accessories for the consumer market, Grovemade now has global reach and a great crew of fun-loving, hard-working trail blazers.
