OEN PubTalk: Speed Networking!
Entrepreneurs are often told to “network” their way to investors, mentors, and business partners. But this can be scary if you’re not comfortable, don’t know where to start, or what to say.
We’re here to help—our Speed Networking PubTalk is back by popular demand! Join us to practice building your social capital game. Social scientist, author, and TEDx presenter Vanessa Van Edwards will answer your networking questions, including:
- What can we learn from super connectors?
- How do we make a great, lasting first impression with everyone we meet?
- How can we make networking work for us?
- How can we build quality connections, not just quantity connections?
The OEN PubTalk™ is our flagship monthly happy hour — a perfect starting point for new community members and a great place for established members to make new connections. As always, the program will be preceded by time for casual networking and will include free appetizers and pizza. Registration begins at 5:15 p.m.
The program will kick off around 6 p.m. with a short presentation on the science of networking. We will then launch into a 40-minute speed networking session, followed by a closing presentation.
Cost: $10 for OEN members; $25 for non-members. We take walk-ins if space allows, but prices will be $15 for OEN members and $35 for non-members at the door.
*Sorry, no refunds.*
