Panelists

Sarah Smith
Co-founder, The Dyrt
After working in international education for the majority of her career, Sarah Smith became frustrated with the experience of trying to find a campground online and decided to solve the problem herself. The Dyrt helps people find campgrounds, remember their own camping experiences, and share their experiences with others – all through reviews, photos, and videos.

Bertony Faustin

Callie Christensen
Co-founder, Slumberkins
As a mother and educator, Callie Christensen is on a mission to use her educational background to build and scale Slumberkins, an authentic children’s brand promoting emotional wellness. From starting as a handmade side-hustle while on an unpaid maternity leave, Slumberkins has gained traction through social media to become a well-known direct-to-consumer brand that’s resonating with both parents and educators.

Shawn Huff
President & Co-founder, Growlerwerks
When Shawn was trying to impress a girlfriend’s parents at Salishan with some of Oregon’s finest IPA, he ended up drain-pouring the stuff two days later. It had gone flat and stale in a glass growler. That’s when he decided beer lovers needed a solution to keep craft beer fresh, and GrowlerWerks was born. (It’s OK about the girlfriend: His first love is skiing, anyway.) He’s been an entrepreneur since childhood, making and selling pottery and walking sticks during summers in Ashland. He eventually wrote his first of four patents in 2006 at the age of 27.
