The OEN PubTalk™ is our flagship monthly happy hour — a perfect starting point for new community members and a great place for established members to make new connections. The program will be preceded by time for casual networking. Registration begins at 5:15 p.m.

Cost: $10 for OEN members; $25 for non-members. We take walk-ins if space allows, but prices will be $15 for OEN members and $35 for non-members at the door. Beer, wine, and soda will be available for purchase.

Allison Condra

Associate, Davis Wright Tremaine LLP

Alli Condra concentrates her practice on legal, regulatory, business, and policy issues facing the food, beverage, and restaurant industries. She represents clients in matters with the Food and Drug Administration and the United States Department of Agriculture, as well as state- and local-level food and agriculture agencies, specifically as it relates to food safety and food labeling issues.



Katie Poppe

Co-founder & CEO, Blue Star Donuts, Camden’s Catsup, Boxer Ramen & Little Big Burger.

Katie Poppe is the owner and CEO of Blue Star Donuts, and has co-founded and opened over 30 restaurants, including Little Big Burger and Boxer Ramen. She has been the recipient of many awards including Portland Business Journal’s 40 under 40, Oregon’s Most Admired Company, EO’s Entrepreneur of the Year, and a regional finalist for Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year.


Jeff Boggess

Co-founder & CEO, Trail Butter

Avid outdoorsman, ultra-runner, and Portland-based food entrepreneur, Jeff is the creator of Trail Butter, a real-food energy snack conceived on a bike and boat ride from Germany to California. With little space available in his bike panniers, bags and jars of nuts, honey, dried fruit and peanut butter became one and Trail Butter was born. Since that fateful day, Jeff, along with brother, Brad have taken their product from pop-up farmers market bike stand in 2012 to a thriving, internationally distributed snack food, enabling high-performing individuals, be it elite athletes or busy families, to fuel their ‘adventures’ effectively and conveniently, all while contributing to long-term, whole-body health.

Founder & CEO, Society Nine

Lynn Le is the founder and CEO of Society Nine, a modern women’s boxing brand providing gear and apparel to empower every woman’s fight. Frustrated with the lack of quality options for women’s gear in boxing fitness, Society Nine is disrupting an industry that has underserved a passionate community of women all over the world who are on a journey to uncover their power from within and need quality, high performing boxing gear and versatile, beautiful activewear to do so. She was named to Forbes’ 30under30 in Retail/E-Commerce for the Class of 2018, and Portland Business Journal’s 40under40 for 2017.


Kelly Oriard

Co-founder, Slumberkins

Slumberkins is on a mission to empower parents and caregivers to teach little ones social-emotional life skills. Kelly has a dual Masters degree in Marriage & Family Therapy and School Counseling and Callie has a Masters in Teaching and endorsements in Elementary Education & Special Education. Both are passionate about teaching children the social-emotional skills needed to thrive in our modern world. Each Slumberkins board book uses an interactive story time approach infused with therapeutic techniques and skill-building exercises from each of their backgrounds. The snugglers and stuffies bring the book characters to life. . They appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank in 2017 and have continued to grow Slumberkins at over 100% growth rate year over year since it was founded just one year prior. They are currently in a partnership with the Jim Henson Company to bring their characters to life as a pre-school television series being pitched to streaming networks in February 2019.
