OEN Programs & Services
Startups need access to networks of knowledge, ideas about how to better run their companies, and advice about how to approach the difficult decisions every young company faces. That's why they turn to OEN.
OEN offers entrepreneurs a wide variety of regular events, programs, and other services designed to help give them access to the resources they need to build thriving companies.
OEN Startup Services
OEN's business development programs can give you essential instruction and advice throughout your company's life cycle, from the moment you strike upon an idea to your preparation to pitch your company to venture capitalists.
Looking to validate your business concept? Need assistance putting together a compelling business plan? OEN Startup Services are exactly what you need to hit the ground running.
Then there's the entrepreneur who is a little further down the track already, but who needs some help with financials, market analysis, or leadership skills. Sound familiar? The new OEN Executive Series provides just the guidance you need as you're moving your enterprise to the next level.
OEN PubTalk: Startups start here
This monthly event is a forum for entrepreneurs to network with fellow entrepreneurs, discuss challenges, compare strategies, and learn new ways to grow their business. A typical OEN PubTalk features a chance for early-stage entrepreneurs to present their company to an audience of their peers and receive immediate, informal feedback on their business model - a sort of trial by friendly fire. Sometimes PubTalk will tackle an issue of importance to early-stage entrepreneurs, and you get the opportunity to eavesdrop on a discussion between experts on a topic relevant to what you're business is facing now.
There's also a new OEN networking event designed for people looking to network deeper into the entrepreneurial community: OEN SwapMeet.
PAN & WIN: Your link to the Angel community
Entrepreneurs often need to find partners to help fund the growth of their enterprises, and OEN can help you find them. We help manage the operations of two groups of active Angel investors: The Portland Angel Network (PAN) and the Women's Investment Network (WIN). Each organization meets regularly to discuss investment opportunities in emerging companies in the region, and invites a few well-chosen companies to present their business model to their bimonthly meetings. Both PAN and WIN invite you to submit an executive summary for consideration to present to their groups.
