Invest
Companies need capital. Investors need opportunity.
OEN helps connect the two.
For companies to grow, entrepreneurs need access to start up capital. Part of OEN’s mission is to help develop capital networks to increase access to capital for Northwest entrepreneurs. OEN runs several angel investment programs, including,
Portland Angel Network (PAN), and
OEN's Angel Oregon Investment Conference. OEN also spawned and helped to develop, the Oregon Angel Fund (OAF).
Catalyzing investment
The OEN Catalyst Fund is a designated, segregated investment account, owned and controlled by OEN, into which OEN solicits donations and grants to allow OEN to make investments in its capital-based initiatives. The OEN Catalyst Fund is not a separate legal entity, nor is it an investment fund or partnership in the traditional sense.
The OEN Catalyst Fund was created by OEN to expand OEN's Core Mission and reach, to promote economic development, and job creation, particularly with start-up and early-stage companies. It has invested into the Portland Seed Fund, and ultimately hopes to invest in early-stage companies state-wide.
Investment Events Showcasing Northwest companies
In addition to
OEN's Angel Oregon, OEN also presents
OEN's Venture Northwest Investment Conference, a day-long conference which showcases venture - ready companies to VC and private equity investors. For companies just getting their start,
OEN's Seed Oregon PubTalk events prepare entrepreneurs to compete in OEN's Angel Oregon by providing investor pitch coaching. Companies also receive peer feedback and good exposure for attracting interest of potential investors.
