According to research done by the Kauffman Foundation, new firms add an average of 3 million jobs in their first year, while older companies lose 1 million jobs annually. Net growth occurs in the US economy through startup firms. The Kauffman data suggests that job growth would be best boosted by supporting startup firms.

Your tax deductible contribution to OEN keeps the entrepreneurial community robust and vibrant. No one individual can do it alone. As a community, OEN has been helping to make great things happen here in Oregon for 20 years.
- Access to capital - OEN opens doors to angel investors and deal makers through a variety of events and programs such as the OEN Catalyst Fund, Portland Angel Network, Seed Oregon, Angel Oregon, and Venture Northwest. Angel investors rely upon OEN to serve as a vetting process and agent of introduction to investor-ready entrepreneurs.
- Education and guidance - OEN provides guidance and education for entrepreneurs through a series of workshops, individual mentoring, and programs on "lessons learned from the field".
- Jobs - When entrepreneurs realize their dreams, they build and grow successful companies, they create jobs, and positively impact the community.
Together, we can help to grow entrepreneurial companies. Your financial contribution will support the programs and services that assist entrepreneurs, and help them to succeed.
There are three ways to contribute to OEN:
OEN Annual Fund: Supports annual programs and services to help entrepreneurs.
OEN Catalyst Fund: Catalyst for economic development and job growth in Oregon and SW Washington. These monies allow OEN to invest in professionally-managed funds that then invest in emerging companies. OEN
